Maybelline Fit me! – New Make-Up Routine

Hey Guys!

Welcome back to the Real Wonderland! Today, I prepared a little review about my new favorites out of the line Maybelline Fit me! that really enriched my everyday make-up routine. All in all, I purchased three items of the whole line.  But see for yourself…

Fit me! Matte + Poreless Foundation

As I am one of those girl tending to have quite oily skin in my T-zone – especially during summer time – I am always looking for rather matte foundations where my skin is not too shiny. The matte + powerless foundation promises to cover up little break-outs, mattifies and softens the skin out. Sounds quite promising, so I HAD to try it…

I chose the shade 105 „Natural Ivory“ however they offer 16 different shades ranging from really light to colors for darker skin. Mine really fits me when I’m not tanned. The application with a brush worked evenly and it didn’t feel thick or uncomfortable while wearing, rather soft. Probably that’s because of the powder particles inside the fluid that also leave a soft focus, poreless and matte finish on the skin. After one application, my red spots and any unevenness was simply gone – the coverage can still be intensified in areas with more breakouts. Also, it wore perfect for about 8 hours and didn’t crumble around my nose and most importantly it didn’t look cakey nor shiny. The only downturn is that it comes in this tube and doesn’t have a pump…

Fit me! Concealer

The concealer is said to be the perfect dupe for the NARS Radiant Creamy, not only the packaging but also the finish… Here, I have the shade „fair“ which has more of a rosy undertone than the „light“ one. What’s said is that they only offer four different, lighter shades – so not really suitable for darker skin tones.

The concealer feels really creamy when applying and blending with a beauty sponge and the coverage is really opaque, still, it doesn’t look nor feel thick or cakey. For me, it perfectly covers my blue circles around my eyes. The only negative aspect is that it creases under my eyes, but when set appropriately with a white setting powder, this doesn’t happen that much.

Fit me! Anti-Shine Stick

This stick promises a quick application and a long-lasting matte finish. When I first tested it, I really had my doubts because I wasn’t too familiar with stick foundations and I simply couldn’t even out the shade…

I picked mine in the shade 115 and as you can see, the middle is quite lighter and should avoid to make you look oily and shiny. Well, after my first use, my face looked shiny and uneven – I couldn’t handle the stick. After googling a lot I tried to apply only some stripes throughout my face and I blended it with a wet beauty sponge instead of a foundation brush. And voilà, it looked better! Overall, it gives my skin a very comfortable and soft feeling and it doesn’t look cakey anymore. Another pro is the fact that I don’t need a powder to set the foundation, it feels quite powdery already. Moreover, the stick helped to stop my face from looking too shiny and it lasted perfect for some decent 6-7 hours on me.

So, that was it! Did you also try the Maybelline Fit me! line? What’s your favorite?

Stay sparkling…

Benefit Hoola – My Go To Bronzer

Hey Guys!

I know it’s been a while – university started again, and I had to work, no more holidays… But today I prepared a little review about my favorite bronzer at the moment: The Benefit Hoola Bronzer! OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I bought this one at Sephora in Italy and saved I think 15% because it was on sale. I’ve never been quite sure whether to purchase this bronzing powder as it’s quite pricey but so many friends, blogger and YouTube people finally convinced me.

Benefit Hoola Bronzer (8g for 32.95€)

The packaging looks natural and kind of sustainable to me, it comes in a squared cardboard box with bamboo and chinese flower prints. The package contains a little mirror inside and also a flat brush made of natural hair with a wooden grip.

The bronzer is oilfree, so perfect for oily/ mixed skin types and absolutely matte. I’d OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAdescribe this color as a warm latte macchiato brown without any strong red tones to it. The color is very very pigemnted and just one swipe of color is enough. With the included brush fallout is much likely to happen (because the hair is not that soft) but with a softer contouring brush I don’t face this problem any more. When I tested this product I was surprised of how soft and smooth the powder felt on my fingers and face.

The color is super blendable and gives a natural, sun-kissed look on your cheek bones, nose and forehead. It definitely has opaque coverage with just a small amount of product which makes it long-lasting as well. The powder lasted for over 6 hours on my skin and survived a 30+ degrees day…

Overall the product works well for me and I love the fact that it’s completely matte and oilfree. Contouring works excellent due to the pigmentation and a natural tan is also easy to achieve as the product is very blendable. Although I always thought that the price is too high I totally changed my mind now – the money is well invested as the powder is so long-lasting! I definitely recommend you to try this powder yourself…

What were your experiences with the lovely Hoola Bronzer?

Have a nice evening and don’t forget to follow me on Instagram.

Sephora Haul – There’s Always a First Time

Welcome Back!

Sadly, I’m home again… In the following days you thus can read about my two weeks in Italy and also my lovely weekend in Innsbruck! But today I prepared a haul for you that I’m kind of very proud of – in Italy I finally visited a Sephora store and bought quite some things, haha. Also to every product shown here, you’ll get detailed reviews in the following weeks, so stay tuned! Let’s jump right into it.

Benefit – Hoola Bronzer

I was thinking of purchasing this bronzer for such long time and was so lucky when I saw that it is 15% off in Italy at the moment. I just couldn’t resist… As far as I can tell, the color suits me really good and I can contour my cheekbones perfectly or give myself a natural look. I’m just really curious whether I can still use it in autumn/ winter when my tan faded but I will tell you asap. I just found out right away that the included brush is not as useful as I thought, there’s a lot fall-out with it.

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick – Rock Steady

How curious was I to discover the new Urban Decay Vice Lipsticks – their different finishes and shades. Unfortunately, neither the store in Florence nor in Venice had a big selection of shades and the ones I’ve been looking for were currently not available. Bad luck for me, however I couldn’t resist to check out the other shades and found a really nice and creamy dark red. The pigmentation is really amazing and I can’t wait to wear it for a night out.

Sephora – Smokey Eye Brush Set

I think I got this set 30% cheaper than the original price! I was actually looking quite some time for some eyeshadow brushes for the crease, eyelid and waterline and this set combines everything plus a nice black bag – ideal for traveling. There’s a large blending brush, a smaller one just for the crease, one for underneath the eye and last but not least a flat eyeshadow brush. The brushes looked quite elegant and of a high quality to me and as far as I can judge the brushes work excellently.

Sephora – Eye and Face Masks

Face Masks – the new trend in skin care I’d say. Of course I also had to test them and when I read about the Sephora masks and their good effect here on wordpress I put these on my list as well. I tried quite some differnet kinds: avocado, lotus, pearl, green tea and pomegranate. It was rather difficult to decide which ones to take, Sephora has a big range of masks – even feet and hand masks I didn’t take with me.

What did you recently buy at Sephora or what’s been on your shopping list for quite some time? Don’t forget to check out my Instagram Account!

Enjoy the evening!

Chanel Rouge Allure „Énigmatique“ – Review and Swatch

Hey guys!

Last week in France (here are my favorite moments in pictures and text about it) I bought a super pretty Chanel lipstick – well I convinced my mum to buy it… I had my eye on this one for a long time, the color is just so gorgeous. Now I tested it and prepared a little review for you.

Chanel Rouge Allure Énigmatique (3.5g for 34.99€)

The lipstick comes in the classic Chanel Allure packaging – black with the golden Chanel logo to press on to open the lipstick. Looks, as always with Chanel classy and elegant.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

The color is a warm red that’s a bit darker than a bright red – rather goes into the direction of a muted red. What I love about the Allure lipsticks, they have quite some shimmer as well. This lipstick comes with some golden, shimmering particles. The lipstick promises to be easy to apply, leaving a satin and long-lasting finish, Douglas also described it as a melting texture.

And here are the facts… The lipstick indeed just glided on to my lips and felt very smooth in the beginning and after applying. The pigmentation is really good, leaving almost opaque coverage after the first layer which is not too bad for a shimmering and shiny looking lipstick.

The lipstick then turned to a quite satin/ semi-matte finish with quite some shimmer in it which I really like. However I found out that the product runs into the outer corners of my lips (well it was 35 degrees when I wore it) but I guess this can be avoided using a lip liner before applying. Next, how long did it last? Well, it did last quite some time as it developed a rather satin finish but due to weather conditions and a little sweating the color faded a little. After lunch and drinking I had to re-apply the lipstick. I guess the long-lasting finish is only possible if it’s ‘colder’ and you’re not drinking or eating with it.

Overall I’m still in love with this lipstick! Reading some other reviews, some found the lipstick quite dry on the lips which is not my case – it caressed them rather and left a smooth feeling even after hours. The lipstick also lasts quite some time if you’re not eating or drinking and most importantly – the COLOR! I think this darker, warm red is perfect for summer and autumn and can be worn during daytime and at night. Perfect!

What do you guys say? Which Chanel lipsticks do you have – what are your opinions on them?

Little Kiko Cosmetics Haul – Collaboration

Welcome Back Everyone!

Hope you’re all doing well and enjoy summer. Today I have some really exciting things to tell you… Lucy from Lucylovesme is joining me today for a little haul about our recent purchases from Kiko. As we both have bought different products, we’re sure there’s something for everyone in here. And also some of them are on sale right now and just right for summer, soooo…

Let’s get right into it!

Lucy loves…

3D Light & Glow Highlighter

kiko 3d light and glowHighlighters are ever so popular at the moment and are perfect for the summer weather when foundation is a little lighter or you’re just wearing a BB cream or tinted moisturiser. You want a radiant and dewy complexion and for the light to catch the high spots on your face. I think using a highlighter is a great addition to a day time look as you can still be natural and subtle with it or build up a bit more for the night time and use on eyes and cupids bow as well as on cheekbones. There are all forms in the shops at the moment: liquids, powder and seeing as we’re all on the go most of the time, tube highlighters really
hit the spot.

I have added to my Kiko Milano and highlighter collection with my latest purchase of the 3D Light & Glow Highlighter which is currently on sale in the UK at £4.90. It comes in 3 different tubes consisting of 3 colours. I have 02 Challenge Peach which is pink, bronze and beige. As always with Kiko, the packaging is gorgeous and not easy to miss in a bright fuchsia pink tube which has a built-in sponge at the bottom where you can blend either one or two or all of the colours.

The texture is quite rich, soft and creamy giving a subtle radiance depending on how much you want to build up, but it is very easy to blend with fingers or using the sponge. It also combines as a blusher on your cheekbones and a lovely highlighter if you use the lighter colours above the eye lid.
It is long-lasting (even during a very busy, hot, sweaty day!) but great for carrying around and applying quick, easy touch ups should you wish.

Baked Bronzer

20160808_101634I also adore the Kiko Milano Desert Dunes Baked Bronzer from the Limited Edition Wanderlust range (unfortunately now sold out) as it not only has the most gorgeous gold, glitzy yet chic and glamorous packaging, but is massive so will last for ages and has a big mirror inside useful for quick touch ups when you’re on the go. It gives a really natural glow and sheen without being too glittery or cakey. My only negative is that it doesn’t last too long so I find a few touch ups during the day or night are required. I have the matching face brush which is just as beautiful and a really well made, long-lasting brush.

Eyebrow Fibers Coloured Mascara

Eyebrow Fibers coloured mascara 05

The Benefit Brow range has had so much publicity of late and of course I have tried a few of the products, but was looking for something a bit less expensive and with a slightly bigger tube because as much as I do like the Benefit Gimme Brow, I do think £18.50 is expensive for a tiny tube of something you would use very quickly. So I purchased the Kiko Milano eyebrow fibers coloured mascara which is a bigger tube and a more wallet friendly £7.20 currently only £5 in the sale). The brush is slightly bigger than the Benefit Gimme Brow and more mascara like. It is easy to be quite heavy-handed with it and create really defined, thick, dark eyebrows, but I use gently and lightly for a more subtle definition and filling in sparse hairs. Mine is in 05 Deep Brunettes, but there is a really good range of colours unlike the Benefit which has only 3. They both have gel consistencies so if you use a thick sweep of the Kiko one then eyebrows can look quite glossy. It really depends what kind of look you are going for.

The Real Wonderland loves…

Make-Up Fixing Spray

P6187948.JPGFor summer especially I decided to try Kiko’s fixing spray. It doesn’t contain perfumes and part of its ingredients is camomile. Also, it’s made with a formula that has the effect to reduce allergic reactions. The packaging looks elegant and simple, the sray is easy to store and can be used on-the-go. The product promises to give a long-lasting, professional finish without being sticky. The result after one use was really satisfying. I sprayed with a 10cm distances just 1 second and my make-up was set completely. Nothing cakey or liquid and not possible to wipe away. The spray also cooled my face which I find very good for summer. Still, I will not repurchase this product as it only lasted about 2 weeks and it was empty although it is quite large with 75ml. So I guess I might look for a different fixing spray.

Blending Wave Multicolor Blush

Next up is a really pretty blush I bought about a month ago at Kiko. It’s a two-color blending blush in the shade 03 – a really dark rose and a lighter rose shade with peachy undertones (was quite hard to define). The colors can either be worn seperately or both mixed and blended together, so you actually have two blushes in one… The packaging is different from a normal packaging, it lokks like it was just painted by an artist. The texture is silky and smooth without being dusty. Also the pigmentation is great – just one swipe is enough to have a good color-payoff. I think there is at least another shade available in a very light pink shade and it’s definitely on sale now… To read more about this product and to get some swatches, check my blog again in some days 😉

Rebel Bouncy Cream Blush

This is a cream blush I found by accident during sale at Kiko, I got it just for 4€. This one is from the Rebel Romantic Collection and it’s available in four different shades: peach, pink, rose and dark red. Mine is the shade Treasure Rose. As the name already says, it’s a darker rose tone. I love the packaging of this blush, the golden shade makes it look really elegant and sophisticated and inside is a little mirror. The blush is smaller than I expected it but the color lasts very long because you don’t have to use a lot to get a good pigmentation. The texture is definitely really creamy and can be blended easily (that’s where most of the cream blushes have issues). Get your hands on it – it’s on sale now! And for more photos, information and swatches check my blog again in some days!

Hope you enjoyed our post and our haul! What did you recently buy at Kiko? Let me know…
